1、 Standards and specifications
International standard benchmarking
ASME SA192 and ASTM A192 belong to the same standard system, specifically designed for high-pressure boilers, superheaters, and other equipment. The corresponding Chinese standard is 20G/GB5310-2008, and the chemical composition and mechanical performance requirements are basically the same.
The material has significant low-carbon characteristics, with a carbon content between grade 10 and 20 steel, suitable for high temperature and high pressure environments.
Applicable scenarios
Mainly used for high-pressure steam pipelines, boiler heating surfaces, and heat exchangers in the power and petrochemical industries, with a long-term temperature resistance limit of 482 ℃ 35.

Chemical composition
Carbon (C): 0.06-0.18%, low-carbon design improves weldability and toughness.
Manganese (Mn): 0.27-0.63%, strengthens grain structure and improves fatigue resistance.
Impurity control: Phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) are both ≤ 0.035% to reduce the risk of brittle fracture.
Mechanical properties
Tensile strength: ≥ 325MPa, meeting the demand for high-pressure pressure.
Yield strength: ≥ 180MPa, ensuring deformation resistance at high temperatures.
Elongation rate: ≥ 35%, suitable for thermal stress impact.
Size specifications
Outer diameter range: 1/2 inch to 7 inches (12.7-177.8mm), special sizes can be customized up to 25.
Wall thickness range: 0.085-1.000 inches (2.2-25.4mm), balancing pressure and heat transfer efficiency of 25.
3、 Production process and testing
Manufacturing process
Adopting cold drawing forming process to ensure dimensional accuracy (tolerance ± 0.10mm) and surface smoothness (Ra ≤ 0.8 μ m).
Heat treatment process optimizes grain structure and improves high-temperature stability by 5.
Quality inspection
Perform hydrostatic testing and ultrasonic testing on each unit to ensure no leakage or internal defects.
Surface defects (such as cracks and folds) are strictly controlled according to standards.
4、 Selection and Application Points
Selection matching
Select the outer diameter and wall thickness based on the aperture of the tube plate to avoid excessive installation clearance or interference.
The environment containing hydrogen sulfide (H ₂ S) requires special processing to reduce the risk of corrosion.
