1、 Standards and Scope of Application
Execution standards
Compliant with ASTM A335/ASME SA-335M standard, this seamless ferritic alloy steel pipe is suitable for use in high-temperature environments with nominal and minimum wall thickness.
Typical applications include thermal power generation boilers, petrochemical equipment, and high-temperature pipeline systems.
Applicable brand
Common grades include P1, P2, P5, P9, P11, P12, P22, P23, P91, P92, etc. Among them, high alloy steel (such as P91/P92) has better high-temperature performance.
2、 Technical requirements
Chemical composition
Different grades correspond to specific alloy element ratios, such as:
P23: W (1.45~1.75%), Nb (0.02~0.08%), B (0.0005~0.006%).
P91: Nb (0.06~0.10%), N (0.03~0.07%), Al ≤ 0.04% 12.
P11: Cr (1.00~1.50%), Mo (0.44~0.62%).
Mechanical performance
Typical tensile strength ≥ 415 MPa, yield strength ≥ 205 MPa, elongation at break ≥ 30%.
Excellent creep strength, oxidation resistance, and durability at high temperatures.
3、 Manufacturing and Processing
Production process
Adopting hot rolling, cold drawing or hot expansion forming, the delivery state needs to undergo normalizing and tempering heat treatment (normalizing temperature 940-1040 ℃, tempering temperature 650-750 ℃).
The smelting process requires controlling the quality of molten steel through vacuum induction furnaces or electric slag remelting furnaces.
Size and appearance
Outer diameter range 21.3-762 mm, wall thickness 3.0-130 mm3.
The allowable deviation for the fixed length is+6/-0 mm, and the pipe end should be smooth and free of burrs.
4、 Application Fields
Power industry
Used for high-temperature components such as heating surfaces, superheaters, reheaters, and headers in high-pressure boilers.
Petrochemical industry
Manufacturing of high-temperature and high-pressure fluid transportation pipelines, reactors, and heat exchangers.
Other fields
Aircraft high-temperature components and industrial equipment that require long-term heat resistance.
5、 Corresponding relationship of national standards
P11 corresponds to 15CrMoG in GB 5310 standard.
P22 corresponds to 12Cr1MoVG of GB 5310 standard.
6、 Quality control
Material storage requires strict verification of quality certification documents and re examination of alloy composition through spectral analysis.
The finished product must ensure no surface defects and meet the requirement of "fairly straight" curvature.
