L80-13Cr seamless steel tube is a petroleum pipe with relatively high corrosion resistance.

L80-13Cr seamless steel tube mainly relies on adding 12%~14% (mass fraction) of Cr to improve the material's CO2 corrosion resistance, and is a representative product of oil well pipes used in wet CO2 environments. In addition, L80-13Cr seamless steel tube also has good resistance to seawater corrosion, making it a commonly used steel in marine oil and gas extraction.

In China, oil fields such as Tarim and Shengli have already used L80-13Cr material casing in some CO2 containing oil and gas wells to ensure their safety. L80-13Cr seamless steel pipe adopts the American Petroleum Institute (API) standard and has been included in API Spec 5CT "Specification for Casing and Tubing". Moreover, L80-13Cr seamless steel tubes have been basically localized, and enterprises such as Baosteel have the ability to mass produce the pipe throughout the entire process.

L80-13Cr seamless steel tube is made of martensitic stainless steel, and its mechanical properties can be adjusted through heat treatment. Its excellent resistance to CO2 corrosion and relatively low cost make it a promising corrosion-resistant material for oil fields.
