1. Material properties
International grade: Corresponding to the American SAE/AISI 4130 standard, equivalent to Japanese SCM430 and Chinese 30CrMo (GB/T 3077).
Chemical composition:
Carbon (C): 0.26-0.34%
Chromium (Cr): 0.80~1.10%
Molybdenum (Mo): 0.15~0.25%
Silicon (Si): 0.17-0.37%
Manganese (Mn): 0.40-0.70% 25.
2. Performance characteristics
Strength and toughness: Tensile strength ≥ 750MPa, combining high toughness and hardenability, with a critical diameter of 15-70mm for oil quenching.
Temperature resistance: Maintain high temperature strength below 500 ℃, significantly decrease after 550 ℃.
Processing performance: Supports cold/hot processing and welding, and requires heat treatment after welding to restore performance.
Corrosion resistance: Excellent oxidation resistance, suitable for complex environments such as acid and alkali.
3. Production process
Seamless pipes are made using cold drawing or hot rolling processes, with no seams inside to enhance overall stability.
Some products undergo heat treatment (such as bright annealing) to optimize surface smoothness and mechanical properties.
4. Application Fields
Automobile manufacturing: Core load-bearing components such as race car roll cage and Baha frame must comply with material standards of FIA and other organizations.
Mechanical Engineering: Processing of low-pressure boiler tubes, hydraulic systems, and mechanical parts.
Energy equipment: Pipes for hydrogen system gas cylinders (compliant with GB/T 29729-2022 standard).
