1、 Core characteristics and compositional differences

304L stainless steel tube is a low-carbon derivative of 304 stainless steel (carbon content ≤ 0.03%), corresponding to the Chinese grade 022Cr19Ni10. Its main components include:

Chromium (Cr): 18% -20%, providing basic corrosion resistance;

Nickel (Ni): 8% -12%, enhances material toughness and high temperature resistance;

Low carbon design: reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion, especially suitable for scenarios that do not require heat treatment after welding.

Compared with ordinary 304 stainless steel, its intergranular corrosion resistance is better, but its strength is slightly lower (tensile strength ≥ 520 MPa, yield strength ≥ 205 MPa).
